Princes Square, Glasgow

Princes Square is a much loved ‘destination’ shopping centre in Glasgow. It previously came to life as a converted City Square in the late 1980′s but had become tired and dated. This was a ‘refresh’ scheme to bring the Centre back up to date and re-discover its glamour.

Cool contemporary materials now complement and sit comfortably alongside the rich existing fabric, circulation was reworked to make intelligent use of all spaces and promote appropriate customer flow. Enhancing light, views and texture reinforced the theatrical aspect of the Centre whilst retailers are now optimally showcased and sight lines restored.

The B-Listed exterior of the building was refurbished and became the backdrop for an metal art installation co-designed with Timorous Beasties. Undertaken whilst at Threesixty Architecture.
